Dr. Phillip Reemtsma - Veterinarian

Dr. Phillip Reemtsma grew up in Algona, Iowa. He attended Iowa State University where he majored in Animal Science. Phil graduated in May of 1998 with a degree in Veterinary Medicine. Upon graduation he moved to DeWitt , where he worked at the DeWitt Veterinary Clinic. He purchased the practice in August of 1998. Phil's focus is on beef cattle including feedlot consulting and embryo transfer.

Phil is married and has two boys. In his spare time he enjoys helping his boys with their 4-H pigs and cattle, watching sports, and managing his cow herd.

Dr. John Kornmann - Veterinarian

John Kornmann, DVM grew up in Ellsworth Wisconsin.  He attended the University of Wisconsin at River Falls and majored in Dairy Science.  He was then accepted to the University of Wisconsin where he received a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2012.  He then moved to DeWitt and joined the DeWitt Veterinary Clinic.

John is married with three children.  They enjoy spending time outdoors and socializing with family and friends.

Dr. John Glispie - Veterinarian

Dr. John Glispie grew up in Le Claire, Iowa and took classes in Animal Science at Iowa State University until he was admitted to the ISU College of Veterinary Medicine. He received his DVM in 1996. Following graduation, he practiced companion animal medicine in Virginia and Maryland before returning to the Midwest to work in Wisconsin. John joined the De Witt Veterinary Clinic in October of 2012. Working exclusively with companion animals, his interests include surgery, dentistry and some orthopedic procedures, such as cruciate ligament stabilization. In his free time, John enjoys camping, paintball, renaissance fairs and spending time with his daughter. 043.jpg

  

Dr. Ashley Wagmann - Veterinarian

We would like to welcome Dr. Ashley Wegmann to the DeWitt Vet Clinic. She will be specializing in equine care, along with large & small animal services.  

Ashley is originally from Edgewood, IA. She attended Iowa State University where she majored in Animal Science. She graduated from Iowa State with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2018. Following graduation, she practiced companion animal medicine in Davenport, IA. She then joined our clinic at the beginning of 2019. She enjoys working with large and small animals with a large interest in equine. 
 
Ashley lives outside of Welton, where she spends her spare time raising and working with her Belgian Draft horses. When she is not working, she is showing a six-horse hitch with her boyfriend, friends & family. She has two cats, two dogs and many horses. She also enjoys trail riding and show jumping.

Dr. Brody Proesch-Veterinarian 

Dr. Brody Proesch grew up in Clarence, Iowa on a cow/calf farm. He attended Iowa State where he studied animal science. He received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2020. Brody joined the DeWitt Veterinary Clinic later that summer. He has interest in mixed animal practice with an emphasis on beef cattle medicine.

In his free time, he enjoys roping with his brother, fishing, and spending time with his friends and family.

Brody is excited to be back in the area working with a community he is familiar with

Tara Hansen - Certified Veterinary Assistant

Tara joined DeWitt Veterinary Clinic in January of 2010, after working in the Quad Cities for 8 years. After graduating Maquoketa High School she earned her degree in Animal Science and Veterinary Assisting at Kirkwood Community College in the summer of 2003. She is married, with 3 kids, along with her two Boxers, Lola & Jack & a cat, Gary. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her kids, family and friends. Liz Strohbehn - Receptionist/Veterinary Assistant

Liz graduated from DeWitt Central High School in 2005. She joined the team in October 2010 and is a jack of all trades here, helping inside with small animal, on the farm with horses occasionally, and out in the IVF building with large animal.

Liz has a son and a daughter; 3 dogs – Ralph, Sadie, and Ruby; and 2 ferrets – Ollie and Neville. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family, kayaking, gardening, and sitting around campfires.

Ellen Witt-Receptionist/Veterinary Assistant 

 

Ellen graduated from Northeast High School in 2009. She joined the DVC crew in January 2013 and does a little bit of everything at the clinic.

Ellen has a son; 3 huskys – Blaze, Zeus, and Zo; and a parakeet - Finn. You can be sure to find Ellen outside in her free time – kayaking, tubing, or sitting around a campfire – anything to spend time with her friends and family. She also enjoys taking landscape photographs from time to time.

Heather Eggers-Receptionist 

 

Heather graduated from Clinton High School in 2008. She joined the DVC crew in January 2019 and will be the one answering the phone most of the time when you call.

Heather is married with 2 sons; 2 dogs – Skylar and Cooper; many cats, ducks, and chickens. Her boys keep her busy most of the time, but she also enjoys crafting, being on the water, camping, and gardening.

Brena Smith-IVF Technician 

 

Brena graduated from Preston High School in 2010. She attended The University of Wisconsin-Platteville and graduated in 2015 with a degree in Animal Science and a minor in Biology. Brena joined the team in November 2016 and is our IVF tech. She can be found either out in the IVF building or on the farm helping one of the vets out.

Brena is married and has 1 dog - Willow. She spends her free time attending cattle shows, going on trail rides, and being around friends and family.

Lauren Jensen-Groomer 

 

Lauren has been grooming since 2012 and loves what she does! She loves taking a shaggy looking dog or cat and giving them a whole new look. 
She is married and has a son as well as two dogs and four cats. 
When she's not grooming, Lauren loves spending time with her family and pets. She enjoys dog training and sports such as agility as well as photography.
